8th SP Summit kick-starts in Puri

Industry experts from the Indian IT sector converged on the inauguration day of DQ Channels SP Summit at the land of lord Jaganath, Puri, Odisha. This gathering includes more than 70 decision-makers of solution providers' organizations from India.
This SP Summit is a flagship annual event organized by CyberMedia's channel publication. This year's summit, which will continue from 8th -10th February, 2013, is the eight edition.

This year's edition has sponsors including Hitachi, VMmware, Cyberoam, Digisol, Toshiba, Ncomputing, Foxconn, Xpad, Uniline, BPE, Prasha and two association partners--ISODA and ASIRT.

Some of the key vendor executives to address the delegates include Yogesh Sawant, director, partner sales and field alliance organizations, Hitachi Data Systems India, Polad Garda, manager, marketing, storage devices, Toshiba India, etc.

Based on the theme of ‘By the SPs, for the SPs, of the SPs' was taken off well on the day 1. This year, the event saw wide representation from the solution providers, who represented and showed their business excellence in formidable segments like education and BFSI. On the first day of the event, some of the big names in the solutions business like Choice Solutions, Allied Digital, Gemini Communications and Value Point Systems tendered their presentations and talked about specialization areas.

The first day witnessed IT vendors giving head ups in new areas like cloud solutions and virtualizations to SPs. Hitachi Data Systems and Toshiba India did talk about their company's plan and future stored for SPs.

The first of the event concluded with the interactive panel discussion by Mumbai based ASIRT. The discussion topic was around partners, progress, evolve and creating SPs. Kshitij Kotak, Chetan Shah and Gaurang Bhatt were the panelist. The day 1 successfully brought IT industry under one roof to share their achievements, resolve challenges and discuss strategies for future growth.
