A Heart Felt Thank You

The third DQ Channels Solution Providers Summit at Port Blair recently was a
great eye-opener. When you put competing people in a non-competitive
environment, one finds them cordial to each other.

But at the SP Summit, these people were not merely cordial to each other.
They were backslapping. They were joking with each other. They were listening to
business travails with empathy. They were sharing ideas on how to work around
some business hurdles. They were dancing with each other. In short, they were
friends.

Some camaraderie is unheard of in most other events where peers of the same
business domain are present. Sure they share some insights to break the ice or
to see how to leverage on each others core competencies.

But at the SP Summit, most of the partners were very comfortable with each
other. Like some partners from Pune noted, participating in the SP Summit over
the past three years has fostered a feeling of brotherhood amongst them.

Like Sushil Kulkarni of Phoebus Technologies said, “In the course of the last
three DQ Channels SP Summits, we partners have almost started feeling like part
of a family where we appreciate and applaud on each others achievements.”

Yet others like Nityan and Shetty found the event rewarding because at other
events they meet the same set of people from their business domain-security,
networking, software or services. Therefore their experiences are limited to
them. As against this, the DQ Channels SP Summit gives them an opportunity to
interact with people with wide experience in varied fields in the IT industry.
“This gives us a totally different perspective of the industry,” Shetty stated.

There are several reticent people in the channel community who never attend
any event, but honor us with their participation at the SP Summit. There is a
whole load of other congratulatory feedback that I have received from the
participants of the SP Summit. I want to offer my heartfelt thanks to them for
making the event so successful and giving us an impetus to make it even better
the next year.
