Acer hosts channel partner conference

Acer India recently concluded its channel partner conference in New Delhi.
The 100 partners attending the meet comprised retail business partners,
value-added resellers and distribution partners from the New Delhi and NCR
region.

Acer also announced a retail scheme called 'Acer Mania' for OND, 2007. It
includes monthly booster schemes, rewards for achieving quarter targets and an
exclusive booster for AMD-based Acer stock keeping unit (SKUs) and pre-load
OS-based Acer SKUs, in partnership with Microsoft.

During this scheme, partners are expected to operate within the market
operating price band. Special price deals, demo units, stand alone CRT monitors
and desktops without monitors are excluded from the purview of this mega
contest. All partner claims must be made before Jan 25, 2008.
