Acer India launches Altos Cafe in India

Acer India is launching Altos Cafe, an ongoing technology forum to discuss the latest developments in the server and storage
market. According to the company, the forum will give decision makers the opportunity to physically
network with like minded peers in the industry and exchange technology viewpoints. The first round of Altos Cafe was held on September 3,
2004 in Bangalore. Subsequently, Altos Cafe events will be held at other locations
including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. 

This is the first time that such a platform has been organized by a hardware vendor, where the focus is on the latest trends in
information technology.

The highlight of the Altos Cafe is that invitees can listen and participate in a discussion that is technology-centric and not
vendor focused.

Acer India (Pvt) Ltd enterprise product group GM- sales and marketing Harish Kohli said, "The server and storage market is
very dynamic, where technology and customer demands change at a rapid pace. Altos Cafe is a key forum to
communicate and ideate, considering the changes that occur in this market. 

We are convinced that this informal networking and information dissemination session will keep participants abreast of the
latest developments in the industry." 

Hitachi Data Systems will be Acer's technology partner, in the first round, and will present technology trends in enterprise
storage.
