Acer launches toll-free customer support number

Acer India has announced the launch of its new toll-free customer service
number 1800-11-6677 for notebooks in India. Launched on January 15, 2007 the
toll free service is one of Acer's significant initiatives aimed at empowering
its vast consumer base in 2007. Acer, which already provides toll-free customer
support to Acer consumer desktops, will extend this service to notebooks through
an automatic call dispatch (ACD) system with integrated voice response (IVR).
Calls will be routed to Acer-certified agents, trained specifically on the
product category. The cases that cannot be resolved over the phone, will be
assigned and dispatched to the nearest Acer Customer Service Center along with
the case history.

On the first day of launch of toll-free service for notebooks, Acer saw its
call center receiving over 50 customer calls.

Acer has one of the largest service support networks in the country. This
service will also provide onsite support through 66 Acer Customer Service
Centers (ACSC) in India. Currently Acer supports its partners though Acer
Service Provider network (ASPs) in over 175 cities, with 22 spare parts
warehouse locations and 53 spares replacement centers.
