Acer reduces netbook prices for Christmas

Bengaluru : Acer announced a new price on its entire range of netbooks
for the Indian market this Christmas. Acer's Aspire ONE netbook would be
available at Rs 17,499. It also comes loaded with Windows XP Home version. The
Aspire ONE is available in India in five colors of sapphire blue, brown, black,
pink and white.

The LCD is 8.9-inch long and the netbook wieghs less than a kilo. S Rajendran,
Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said, "Christmas is one of the biggest
gifting seasons world over. The Aspire ONE can be an ideal gift during this
festive season. We also believe that this would be a beachhead to the widespread
adoption of mobile computing in India as consumers in a slowing economy look at
'super value' for money offerings. The Acer Aspire ONE, which has been a rage
the world over in diverse geographies including US, Europe, Japan, South Africa
