Acer strengthens channel network in India

Acer India has announced a partnership with Godrej & Boyce for the
distribution of a select range of projectors in India. This tie up is aimed at
increasing Acer's reach across the country by leveraging on Godrej & Boyce's
strengths in the office automation and AV channels, Acer said in a statement.

This move will help strengthen Acer's reach in the government and corporate
segments in India and consolidate its presence in the office automation channel.
"Currently Acer is the number one DLP projector brand in India and we have
been growing at 35 percent quarter on quarter. Our association with Godrej &
Boyce will serve to increase and strengthen our distribution network in India
for projectors and gives us a solid footprint in the OA channel apart from our
traditional strengths in the IT channel and hence reach out to a wider
audience." said S Rajendran, GM-Sales and Marketing, Acer India Ltd.

Commenting on the tie up, Sorab Parekh, Senior GM - Sales & Marketing,
Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd, said, "This relationship will enable us to
provide the latest technology projectors would be a significant value add to our
channels and end customers".

With a partner network of over 3000 channel partners and 260 retail partners
in over 110 cities and towns and a service network of over 175 Acer Service
Providers in 175 cities and 65 Acer Customer Service Centers, Acer aims to reach
out to its customers across consumer categories the most effective manner.
