Kolkata: Emerging strong in the mobile handset after-sales service space, Re-Store, a unit owned by Aforeserve, has recently opened a new franchisee outlet in Kolkata.
"Venturing into the mobile post-sales service is lucrative. We already have an outlet in Delhi and this is the second outlet that we have opened in Kolkata. It is first of its kind here in the city," said Rohit Gupta, GM-Franchisee Development, Re-Store.
Following the franchisee model, the company has appointed Advance Management Systems as its master franchisee for the East with a target of opening about 20 more outlets in West Bengal by mid-August.
About the move to expand the chain, Gupta said, "We will shortly be coming up with 500 more outlets across India by the middle of this year. Though our primary focus will be on exclusive Re-Store outlets, we will also be venturing into the shop-in-shop format."
Being a strategic place with a huge potential of mobile users, the company has always been keen on opening an outlet here.
Re-Store is also trying to reach the upcountry markets across the nation.
"Upcountry markets have a huge potential as the number of mobile users in these B and C-class cities has seen a considerable increase for the last three years. As a part our corporate strategy, we will be tapping these markets soon," Gupta added.
Re-Store has entered into OEM tie-ups with mobile spare manufacturers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and will be importing the parts from there. Assuring their customers of high quality service, the company is also providing a 30-days warranty period for all mobiles serviced in their outlets.
Commenting on the appointment of a master-franchisee, Gupta commented, "Sanjay Chajjer, CEO of Advance Management Systems has been in the market for a long period. He has an excellent reputation in the market hence we decided to have a strategic tie-up with him."
As a master-franchisee, Advance Management Systems will be focusing on penetrating the upcountry markets in the entire eastern region and will aim to open 100 new outlets here by August.
Chajjer said, "We have always been experimenting with new product portfolios and ranges. Now, with a vision to tap into the mobile space, we have decided to venture into the mobile after-sales service arena. We have already come up with an entirely new set-up for the mobile space and have employed three engineers in the store apart from two marketing and front-desk personnel. A lot of the time, customers complain of delay in after-sales services by vendors. As Re-Store's sole focus is on after-sales service, we can guarantee efficient and quality services to consumers."
