Aladdin launches scratch cards to access mobile entertainment content

Aladdin Multimedia, a distributor of computer games and educational software in India, has tied-up with Gametrix
Entertainment to launch scratch cards for downloading games and other mobile entertainment content on mobile
phones.

Aladdin will enable users of J2ME/GPRS-enabled mobile phone models to download games starting from as little as Rs 10Â
per single user game, irrespective of the network operators they subscribe to. The scratch cards
are priced in denominations of Rs 49 and Rs 99, and allow the users to download contents of their choice up to the credit on the card. 

The scratch card 'access code' can be used by more than one handset to download content as long as there is a credit
balance on the card. According to the company, with no expiry date on its usage, they also serve as a gift
for friends and relatives. The scratch cards will be available at most retail outlets selling mobile prepaid cards across the country by next
week. 

“New services like wall papers and ring tones too will be eventually included in the scratch cards through tie-ups with companies for our
customers,'' adds Aladdin MD Rajiv Warrier.
