Once again coming up trumps in the Silver Club listing for solution providers
in the country is Allied Digital Services. What is startling is that at a time
when most of the companies were finding it difficult to maintain the revenue
they had posted in FY'2007-08, Allied Digital Services managed to post a growth
of 87 percent in FY'2008-09 to register a turnover of Rs 556 crore.
This also made it the fastest growing company in the Silver Club list for the
solution providers. Part of this growth came from its inorganic expansion, which
came in the form of two acquisitions. Last year, Allied acquired 80.5 percent
stake in the infrastructure management services firm, EnPointe Global Services (EGS).
EnPointe contributed close to Rs 200 crore to Allied's revenues in FY'08-09.
With this acquisition, Allied also derived a network operations center (NOC) in
Bengaluru and it enhanced its capacity to 250 seats, offering SAP support to
enterprise customers on a 10Mbps pipeline.
