operations. Presently, the company has two distributors--Netplace
Technologies and Advent Electronics.
According to Rajesh Sahore, Country Manager, Allied Telesyn, "We are in
talks with a national distributor whom we will be soon appointing to
increase our presence in the country. We are also expanding our channel base
to 150 partners in each of the regions in the country in the next two
quarters."
Rajesh added that Allied's focus had been more on the low-end products and
solutions and these products and solutions have been sold to the small and
medium business segment. Presently, the company wants to broaden its
customer base in the enterprise and the service provider segment by
increasing its partner strength as well as direct customer interaction.
Allied Telesyn recently announced the alliances program, which is designed
to motivate the existing business partners and also attract new ones. "This
is an effort to increase Allied Telesyn's penetration as well as reward
partners for their valuable contribution. We have been a 100% channel-driven
company and by increasing our channel strength we expect to achieve 10%
marketshare in the networking market by the 2009. " Rajesh pointed out. The
company also plans to expand the strength of its regional team as and when
