The company's networking switches, routers and other products were more
focused on the SOHO and SME segments. The AT WA 7400 is primarily targeted at
the enterprise segment owing to the features it has. With this router, several
access points can be clustered together, thus making it possible to connect two
offices that are even four kilometers away. Corporates with a large setup can
use this because of multiple access points that will be connected together.

The router has multiple BSSIDs, can work on power over Ethernet lines,
operates within the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands and helps in load
balancing. This balances the distribution of wireless client connections across
multiple access pointes, thereby improving performance and bandwidth
utilization.

"AT WA 7400 has already been introduced in Singapore, and as per the
requirements in India, we will bring it here. Currently, our distributors are
just talking to customers about the product," said Rajesh Sahore, Country
Manager, Allied Telesyn International.

To take this router to the enterprise segment, the company is looking for
partners with significant vertical-focused expertise. "We do not believe in
having too many partners, wherein they also lose on the margins, thus we want to
recruit few, but committed and loyal partners," commented Rajesh.

Allied Telesyn International has launched a new scheme, mainly targeted at
the sales force of the systems integrators. The scheme will be on for a period
of three months and will be spread across all products of the company.
"Under this program, there are six slabs in the range of Rs five to Rs 50
lakh. In the first slab of sales personnel achieving a target of Rs five lakh,
they will get a DVD player. Other rewards are projection TV, trip to Mauritius
and others also," explained Rajesh.

Another step the company has taken for the betterment of its channel partners
is conducting a hands-on two-day training for them in Bangalore, wherein the
trainer would come from Singapore. Training would be given mainly on switching
and routing products and will be directed at partners who have a basic knowledge
and have dealt with these products previously. Partners in this meet will come
from Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Cochin and Madurai. Rajesh also said that
he expects a similar training to be conducted in the western and northern
regions within the next three months.
