Altair to expand product development center

Altair has announced its strategic plans and roadmap for the country.
Headquartered in Troy, Michigan, with its Indian subsidiary Altair India, the
company is expanding its product development center. Altair India is an offshore
Engineering Services arm of Altair Inc and is involved in the execution of
computer aided engineering (CAE) solutions, grid computing technology, product
innovation consulting and business intelligence software for various customers
worldwide.

Altair markets and supports its advanced suite of products in India and
South-Asia as an integral part of Altair's global development workforce.
Engineers at this center have contributed to the state-of-the-art technology in
various software product lines. Altair is organized to support its four products
and service offerings-Altair HyperWorks, PBS GridWorks, Altair ProductDesign
and HiQube, with over 1,000 consultants serving more than 1,500 clients
worldwide.

Speaking on the occasion, Nelson Dias, Executive VP-APAC, Altair said, “Altair
is driven by product innovation. The India product development center is vital
to the company's global research and development activities.”

Altair's focus in India is to deliver solutions that allow its clients to
experiment with their ideas by evaluating options and trade-offs in real time.
Pavan Kumar, MD, Altair India said, “The commercial product business unit of
the company provides the clients an integrated suite of world-class design and
analysis software featuring modeling, visualization, simulation and optimization
capabilities as well as design process automation and manufacturing process
simulation.”
