Analog expands its development facility

Analog Devices has announced the opening of its new, expanded development
facility in Bengaluru. The new facility, which is located at RMZ Infinity
Technology Park, was inaugurated by Jerald Fishman, President and CEO, Analog
Devices. The new facility will allow better collaboration between the company's
DSP, Analog and Software divisions and will help ADI India to further develop
its core strengths such as analog IC design, processor IC design, and multimedia
embedded software.

Commenting on the inauguration, Fishman said, “The innovation process at
Analog Devices is a global effort, and our India Product Development Centre (IPDC)
continues to play a critical role in delivering innovative products and
solutions to our customers. We have built unmatched competencies here over the
past 15 years, beginning in the processor design domain, and now expanding into
analog and software capabilities.” He continued, “As we continue to develop our
capabilities in the region, the team here will play an increasingly important
role in helping ADI bolster our core technology expertise and also bring those
technologies together to solve system level solutions for our customers across
the globe.”

Speaking at the event, Dr S Karthik, Engineering Director-IPDC, Analog
Devices said, “ADI is one of the earliest semiconductor companies to set up
operations in India , and also one of the few to be involved in all stages of
product development from 'Concept to Silicon to Production'. Our engineers are
contributing significantly to key products such as ADI's Blackfin processors and
several state-of-the-art advanced analog and mixed signal products aimed at
various market segments. Most importantly, we have developed five generations of
ADI's industry-leading SHARC digital signal processors out of the India center.”
