Apple releases Aperture 2 and 2.1

Apple has introduced Aperture 2, its photo editing and management software
with over 100 new features that make it faster, easier to use and more powerful.
Aperture 2 also has imaging tools for recovery, color vibrancy, local contrast
definition, soft-edged retouching, vignetting and RAW fine-tuning, and lets
users directly post their portfolios on the Mac Web Gallery for viewing on the
web, iPod touch and Apple TV. It comes for Rs 9,300.

The company has also launched Aperture 2.1, which introduces an open plug-in
architecture. Available today as a free software update, Aperture 2.1 includes
plug-in, dodge and burn, which adds brush-based tools for dodge (lighten), burn
(darken), contrast, saturation, sharpen and blur.
