Arbor networks Gung-ho about India

Arbor Networks is on an expansion mode in India. With a focus on channel
sales, the company has tied up with Wipro Infotech who will offer the complete
range of Arbor Peakflow products to Indian customers. According to Samuel
Sathyajith, Country Manager- India and SAARC, Arbor Networks, "Partnerships
with key regional players like Wipro are critical for us. They give us instant
access to some of the leading companies in India. In addition to channel sales
through system integrators and value added resellers, we work very closely with
the managed security service providers (MSSPs) worldwide and would like to do
the same in India as well."

Wipro Infotech apart, Arbor has a strategic relationship with IBM's Internet
Security Systems division. Arbor's Peakflow X technology is integrated within
IBM/ISS' Proventia Network ADS, which offers a better network behavior analysis
system with intrusion prevention and vulnerability management technologies.

Commenting on the two tie-ups, Sathyajith said, "Arbor has proven
solutions to address critical network security and operational performance
issues for enterprises and service providers. We are looking to establish
relationships with firms in India that know the markets we serve and have
established relationships with the key players besides a reputation for strong
ethical conduct Right now, we have Wipro, and the global footprint of IBM. We
are in talks with other potential partners but cannot reveal their identities at
this time."

Arbor's service provider solution, the Peakflow SP platform, helps to detect,
analyze and mitigate threats across internet service Provider (ISP) networks by
consolidating multiple tools while decreasing operator response time to
debilitating network attacks. Designed for service providers, Peakflow SP is
deployed by over 70 percent of the world's SPs who use it for infrastructure
security.

"Our Peakflow X enterprise solution is suited for businesses with as few
as 250 employees and scale to largest of enterprises, so it is an attractive
solution to many companies across India, " said Sathyajith while adding,
"Peakflow X conducts network behavior analysis (NBA) to provide pervasive,
cost-effective network visibility and real-time threat detection. It can be used
for real-time network analysis, historical reporting or capacity planning, to
simplify auditing requirements for regulatory compliance and prioritizing threat
analysis and mitigation."

Arbor currently focuses on the verticals of financial services, healthcare,
education and government sectors. The company seems very excited to be in the
