Asia Powercom intros scheme for long backup on one PC

Asia Powercom, a joint venture with Powercom of Taiwan, announced the launch of
special scheme for customers who need three to four hours backup on single PC.
The scheme includes a package of HOM550 UPS with 65AH sealed maintenance free
battery for Rs 6999 plus taxes. According to Tejas Sheth, Director, Asia
Powercom, the scheme has been launched as a special festive dhamaka offer, which
will remain valid til October 31.

The company informed that both UPS and battery will be HOM. UPS is a backup
power supply intended to serve computers as well as lighting loads. In this
range, Asia Powercom has two models HOM-550 that is rated for 550 VA/330W at 220
VAC, 50/60-Hz, and HOM-1100 is rated for 1100 VA/660W at 220 VAC, 50/60-Hz and
operates on a wide range of input voltages (90 - 280V). Warranty on the UPS will
be for two years and for the battery it will be one year. To be eligible for the
scheme, channel partners need to buy the products from Powercom's Regional
Distributor. The billing will be counted in Pataya Ecstasy scheme that was
launched by the company recently. Sheth said, “Our objective is to make
available power solutions to the customer at a value for money proposition. We
have designed this scheme specifically to give long backup on one PC load.”
