Job Profile

Khanna mainly looks after the channel sales and monitors the sales in the
western territory. She has to design the right kind of programs to deal with
channel in the entire western region, that includes Pune and upcountry market,
Vidharbha, Goa etc. Besides this, she has to ensure that proper training is
imparted to partners so that they can deliver well to end-customers. She is also
responsible for enhancing the company's marketshare in the region.

Background

Khanna prefers to call herself a true 'Mumbaikar'. Born and brought up in
Mumbai, she completed her schooling and did her post-graduation in marketing
from Mumbai University. Before joining Intel, the lady worked with several
software companies, which included Hiranandani Software Co, Embee Software. She
also tried her luck as a freelancer. But she claimed that it was only when she
joined Intel that she realized her true potential, which is the art of dealing
with various people and different mindsets.

Challenges

Khanna felt that being a woman, there is a challenge involved at every step in a
male-dominated society. Every time she comes across such challenges, she tries
to overcome it by applying some logic. As a channel account manager, most of the
time she is traveling and has to perform within strict deadlines. There were
times when she had to work late night, but that did not deter her. She is a firm
believer that in the IT industry one has to work in co-ordination with other
people and learn to adapt to the changing technologies everyday.

Strengths

Patience is the key to Khanna's success. She feels that one should have the
ability to take risks keeping the partner's needs in mind. She also added that
in order to be successful in any venture, one has to work in accordance with the
team, be willing to understand the requirements of the people involved and
deliver under all circumstances.

Family

Given the opportunity, Khanna loves to spend time with her family. She also
disclosed that at Intel she could strike the perfect balance between personal
and professional life. She also like to party once in a while.

Hobbies

A complete food freak, Khanna loves to cook . Music is always a source of
great entertainment and relaxation for her.

Future Plans

Khanna is content with what she is doing at present. But this does not mean that
she does not have better plans. “I am enjoying every moment but there are so
many things to do,” she said. On the professional front, she sees herself as
handling the profile of a Director-Marketing with some company in the future. On
the personal front however, she has a social cause to pursue. She has a hidden
desire to do something good for the society, but at the moment she is not sure
what it is.
