Avaya appoints new channels leader

New Delhi: Avaya has appointed Bejoy Antony as the new Director-Channels & Strategic Alliances for the country. He will be responsible for Avaya's channel strategy and go-to market initiatives across India and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region.

Based in Mumbai and reporting to the MD of Avaya, India, Antony is also tasked to create business plans and strategy development and joint go-to-market with Avaya channel partners and alliances.

“The position that Bijoy assumes is critical to our success in India, as Avaya is focused on expanding our channel partners and strategic alliances to ensure that we are extending our reach in this country. I am happy to have Bijoy on board given his proven track record and experience," said Jangoo Dalal, MD, Avaya India.

Prior to Avaya, Antony was VP-Channels in Cisco Systems and held diverse strategic & leadership sales roles in Cisco over a nine-year period. Earlier in his career, he worked with organizations like Datacraft and Fujitsu ICIM. He come to Avaya with a cumulative sales and channel operations experience of over 18 years in the region.
