Aventail introduces SSL VPN appliance for small to mid-sized cos

Aventail Corporation, a SSL VPN product company, has introduced the Aventail EX-750, its latest SSL VPN appliance tailored to small to mid-size companies or departments with up to 50 concurrent users.

According to the press release, the Aventail EX-750 is a full-featured, clientless SSL VPN appliance, providing anywhere access to a wide range of applications, while ensuring security, ease of use, and controlled costs.

The EX-750 is built on Aventail's ASAP (Anywhere Secure Access Policy) platform, which integrates application access, policy management, and End Point Control (EPC) functions. Aventail's EPC functions include advanced cache cleaning and other data protection and client integrity capabilities. 

The Aventail EX-750 features a Web-based user interface for administrators to define and manage policy and perform essential management tasks, making it easier to manage and requiring less support from IT staff or vendors. 

The Aventail EX-750 also provides access to a broad range of applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, Citrix, and others. In addition to the standard Web-based access, the it offers optional access methods via Aventail OnDemand, a small downloadable Java agent, for broad application access to client/server applications, and

Aventail Connect, a Web-deployed Windows agent, for complete application access with additional network and desktop protection.

The Aventail EX-750 will be available later this month through Aventail's global channel partners. Pricing is based on number of concurrent users and begins at $6,995.00.
