Avnet and Gigabyte expand relationship into India

Avnet Technology Solutions, Asia Pacific, a value-added distributor of
enterprise computing products, software and services and Gigabyte United,
manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards have announced a strategic
distribution agreement.

Under the agreement, Avnet will market and distribute Gigabyte's entire range
of AMD-based motherboards and complementary graphic solutions to value-added
resellers (VARs), system builders and PC assemblers in India.

"India is an important growth market for Avnet. We are delighted to be
partnering with Gigabyte, whose products will enable Avnet to expand the breadth
of AMD-based solutions to system builders and value added resellers in
India," commented Jaideep Malhotra, VP and GM, Asia Pacific, Avnet
Computing Components. "Gigabyte has a broad offering of AMD based
motherboards and the existing AMD channel will immediately benefit from the
focused sales efforts of Avnet and Gigabyte around AMD solutions."
