Balu Doraisamy named MD for HP APAC and Japan

HP has announced Balu Doraisamy's appointment as the MD for Asia Pacific
Japan and Senior VP for the Technology Solutions Group (TSG). Balu succeeds Tom
Lannotti who has returned to the USA to assume the role of MD, Americas. Balu
begins his new role immediately and will be based in Singapore.

Balu has more than 23 years experience with HP, most recently as MD of HP
India. In his APJ managing director role, Balu will be responsible for
continuing the focus on creating value for customers and profitable growth
together with the region leadership team.

Livermore, Executive VP, Technology Solutions Group, HP. "His impressive
track record and years of experience as a country manager position him to build
on HP's success in the geography."

Balu previously served as the MD of Compaq Computer India. Before this
assignment, he was based in Singapore for nine years where he managed the Asia
Pacific Global Accounts business in Digital and Compaq. Balu joined Digital
Equipment Corporation, USA, in 1984 as Senior Technology Consultant, based at
Nashua, NH.

Balu holds a postgraduate degree in Computer Science and a master's degree in
Mathematics.
