Bersoft scouting for software channel partners

After having developed and launched its ERP package - Mira Skool - for the education segment, New Delhi-based Bersoft Infotech is now looking out
for channel partners to market the software nationally.

"We are working out a channel-based marketing strategy wherein, we  would tie up with national and regional distributors to market our software
products.

Talks are underway at the moment," informed Bersoft's CEO, Nishant  Vijay
Berlia.

The company is in the process of launching two more versions of the ERP package, targeted at retail and pharma verticals. "Our aim is to target
the low penetrated market verticals. After we establish our channel presence in the education and retail segment, we would launch our ERP solution for
the pharma by the year-end," he added.

The company is will tie up with system integrators and software resellers to firm up its selling base in India. "There are some
big systems integrators who have shown interest in our products. We will be finalizing our
channel structure very soon," Nishant informed.

With the metros reaching a saturation point, vendors are devising channel strategies to tap B- and C-class markets. Says
Nishant, "The channel is the best way to address these markets. After national distributors are
appointed, we would place our channels in these cities. These could be very small players who have the basic understanding of the software
segment".
