Representatives of the two associations put forth few suggestions at a
recently held meeting with David Finn, Associate General Counsel-Worldwide
Anti-piracy and Anti-counterfeiting, Microsoft Corporation. The vendor has now
asked these associations to submit their proposals and ideas for increasing
genuine software sales in their respective regions.

Commenting on the meeting between Microsoft and Confed, PN Prasad, President
of the association said that this interaction has strengthened the relation
between the vendor and the local body further. He said that Confed has asked for
more support from Microsoft in terms of resources in supporting the channels and
educating them.

PN Prasad

“Microsoft wanted to work with the partners here in curbing the piracy and we
are also supporting that. From our end, we wanted more resources from Microsoft
to educate the partners and end-customers on the various products available with
them so that we can improve the sales to a great extent. We have been asked to
provide our inputs and requirements in educating the partners and end customers,
which we will do it shortly,” Prasad said.
