In the much-awaited IT show, consumers were excited and curious about the
latest IT products. “We started receiving several inquiries from 10 days
before the IT show. Most of the queries were about latest products and discounts
on them in the expo. Mostly customers postpone their buying for the show due to
the discounts they get during the expo,” said Aashish Parmar of Ashinik
Incorporated, Vadodara.

The theme for the ninth BITA event was 'IT for Society'. Major companies
in the IT field like IBM, Lenovo, HP-Compaq, Zenith, HCL, Wipro, LG, Samsung etc
showcased their latest products at the event.

Launch of the directory

Baroda IT association also launched its directory during the BITA IT show 2007.

time the directory is available in three formats-hard copy, online version and
soft copy. The directory is now also available at the stands at a tentative
price of Rs 20-25.

Also on the agenda of BITA was to encourage participation from people outside
Gujarat and present Gujarat as a potential lucrative market.

The day before the event, a rally of cars and scooters by all BITA members and
exhibitors was flagged-off from Kirti Stumbh and reached Ajit Nagar Ground via
Rajmahal Road, Sayajigunj, RC Dutt Road and old Padra Road. This was the
association's unique way to publicize the event and get more people to visit
it.
