BITA demands for IT advisory board

Bihar IT Association (BITA) is demanding for an IT advisory board from Bihar
Government and the proposal has already been sent on June 23. According to PK
Sinha, Treasurer, BITA, the board will have experts from IT, infrastructure,
telecom and management fields so that they can give their insight into making
Bihar a developed state. “We are expecting that by first week of July
government should accept our proposal,” he said. Talking further, he added,
“The core committee will study and analyze the successful IT initiatives of
different states across the country and suggest how to make Bihar the preferred
destination to foster Public-Private-Partnership initiatives in the ICT sector.”

He also added that for any state to develop, basics like infrastructure,
telecom and IT should be developed. “Bihar has all the potential, the only
thing we need is to utilize it properly. If our infrastructure is taken care of,
half the problem will be solved. By forming a board like this, we can expect
things to improve. These experts will study successful projects and implement
them here in Bihar too,” he said.

BITA is aggressively working on Bihar's upliftment. Bihar IT Minister
recently invited Tally India, to start their operations in the state. Bihar is
going to organize a two-days national level IT conference in the state capital
post monsoon to draw the attention of all major IT companies across India and
abroad on the 'Emerging Investment Opportunities' in Bihar.
