BITA will promote Vadodara as IT hub

Baroda Information Technology Association (BITA) the IT-Association of
resellers of computer hardware recently conducted its 11th IT-Exhibition called
the BITA IT Show-2008. The Association, which has a tie-up with Gujarat
Informatics Limited (GIL) now plans to promote Vadodara as an IT-hub with the
help of GIL and is in talks with the Gujarat Government to increase the strength
of IT certification courses in the region.

Hitesh Patni, President of BITA said, "Increasing the number of courses
will increase the number of skilled manpower in IT. This will increase IT
employment and bring development to the region. BPO and KPO's will flourish in
the region will bring business to the dealer communities. We have already
conveyed it to the Minister of Industry of Gujarat Government Saurabh Patel who
was here for the inauguration of the IT-Expo and the government as agreed to
increase the number of courses."
