Bloom intros overseas trip for partners

Coimbatore-based Bloom Electronics has introduced overseas trips for its partners in order to strengthen its relationship with the channel. Speaking about this new initiative, G Sunderam, Director, Bloom Electronics said, “We have around 250 partners with us and we wanted to focus more on them for doing effective business. In order to increase the mindshare of Bloom among partners, we have introduced the overseas trip scheme.”

As of now Bloom has taken 11 partners to Malaysia on a three nights and four days trip. He also said that the new scheme launched by Bloom comes in accordance with their recent tie-up with Dell. “We have recently tied up with Dell for distribution in Tamil Nadu, except Puducherry and Chennai. Keeping this in mind, we have launched the scheme for the benefit of partners and ourselves,” he claimed.
Around 120 partners have signed with for the scheme that Bloom has proposed to launch. “The first batch of our channel partners went to Malaysia. We have proposed to take another batch of partners to Dubai and Bangkok. We would continue offering foreign trips for our performing partners,” Sunderam averred.

The distributor has also launched a scheme for Diwali, where performing partners would get up to 30 grams of gold. “The Diwali scheme closes a day before the festival and we would be providing partners with a bundle of crackers and sweets along with 30 grams of gold for stage one and 10 grams of gold for stage two performers,” he quipped. This scheme is open for the entire range of products that Bloom deals with.

It may be noted that Bloom no longer distributing HP products after a six year relationship with the vendor. “One fine day HP informed us that they don't want to have any relationship with us for the best known reasons so we stopped dealing with their brand,” Sunderam informed. Speaking about the Dell distributorship, Sunderam said that response to Dell in the market has been phenomenal and it has encouraged Bloom to focus more aggressively on it. “Dell has attained an excellent growth in the market and we are expecting it to grow further in another four to five months,” he claimed. Bloom has also proposed to double its partner base to 500 from the current count of 250. “We have proposed to double our partner base to 500 by next year. We are already covering 21 of the 31 districts in Tamil Nadu and we would further increase our reach,” Sunderam informed.
