claims to have been in love with numbers since childhood and has
always got all her calculations right is now the Director of Finance
and Logistics at Business Algorithms. Budhay and her husband Sudhir
Budhay, started the company Business Algorithms which is now
popularly known by its trade name B.Algo. With an entrepreneurial
experience of about 22 years, she is the only lady member of the
Vidarbha Computer Media Dealers Welfare Association (VCMDWA) and is
responsible for the vendor purchases for the whole of Vidarbha. At
B.Algo, she looks after the business operations with upcountry
dealers and handles accounts, Human Resource (HR) and also
coordinates for the financial decisions of the company.

style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">CAREER
BACKGROUND: style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Born
in a middle class service background family at Nagpur, Budhay was a
Maharashtra high-school and intermediate state topper in Mathematics.
Having been graduated out from VRCE Nagpur in 1982, she worked for
six years at a firm which operates in manufacturing motor control and
power control centers and also handled electrification projects. She
was quick to learn the tactics of the work with the same ease that a
male engineer could do. Reeta, then met her husband who was also
working in the same factory and married him. Intending to climb up
the corporate ladder the duo then decided to establish a company
known as Business Algorithms in 1988. And, in order to support her
family and husband, she joined Coal India (CIL) as a face="Times New Roman, serif"> style="background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;">

and a half year. After showing her mettle in CIL, she became
synonymous with B.Algo.

style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">DEALING
WITH MEN AT WORK: style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Self-confident
Budhay has never felt discriminated and has had a fulfilling journey.
She rather believes that our society is wrongly tagged as
'male-dominated' as men are very logical and excellent to work
with. “In our country, there is enormous preferential
discrimination and regards for women. No customer or supplier can
ever ignore a women and she always gets a first chance to express
herself. Hence, we should be proud of the fact that we get more than
equal opportunities and must prove our worth,” expressed Budhay.

style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">STRENGHTS:
style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">A
tenacious leader, she believes in listening wholeheartedly to her
employees. It is, in fact, one of her key strengths, which even her
employees appreciate in her. This quality of hers has not only helped
her team in realizing growth in their careers but also in their
personal lives. She believes that hard work coupled with honesty and
ethical dealings are her biggest strength as they have helped her to
succeed at her workplace.

was never afraid of taking up any risks or gains when the couple
started-off the venture. She exclaims with delight that her husband
and she herself were very innovative and have always wanted to lead
their professional lives in their own way. Thanking Almighty for
giving her a supportive family, she reflected,"I feel very proud
that God has given us opportunity to prove our worth in life."

style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">HOBBIES:
style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Holding
onto her convictions for the comfortable co-existence of work and
leisure, despite her demanding career, she makes sure that she is
home every day at a reasonable hour so that she has enough time to
spend with her two daughters, Rasika and Saee. Watching movies and
going out for shopping with her daughters is a stress-buster for her
and she indulges in it as frequently as possible. Apart from her
work, she loves to travel with family.

ADVICE TO WORKING WOMEN: face="Times New Roman, serif">She
advices
to be honest, fair and to work with passion. You should have
a team sense and should guide the team in completing the work. Have
high self-worth, she stresses on the need for women to tread
cautiously on the financial front so as to be independent. She points
out that the only way to make a mark is to be different and standing
out in the crowd. "Split the barrier, change the norm, make it
big, and become an achiever," is what Budhay believes in.

PLANS: style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Holding
a very strategic position in the company, she has a well-mapped plan
to keep the company on the growth trajectory. She is also looking
forward to make B.Algo a national brand and wants the company to be
worth Rs 100 crore in another two to three years.
