Brocade appoints new channel partners

announced that it has selected
three strategic reseller partners to help expand its existing data
center distribution network to enterprise IP networking products.
Brocade selected Smartlink, Mro-tek and GLS for their ability to
efficiently deliver networking solutions to channel reseller
partners, as well as their extensive knowledge, skills, and expertise
in the networking industry.

Under the agreement, Smartlink ,
Mro-tek and GLS will assume responsibility for all of Brocade's IP
networking sales, marketing and servicing activities in India.
Additionally, the extended agreement with these three new channel
partners will serve as an important platform for its diversified
business and growth strategies in India whose IT market is estimated
to grow at 13 percent in 2010 for hardware, software and services
combined, according to market research firm IDC India.

Brocade will continue to sell storage
networking products through SAN distributor Renaissance Softech and
Transition Systems.

be able to purchase enterprise IP networking products and services
through these new channel resellers, in addition to OEMs,” said

The inclusion of Smartlink, Mro-tek and
GLS is a key element of the Brocade Alliance Partner Network (APN).
The Brocade APN Program consists of four distinct partnership levels:
Distributor, Elite, Premier, and Select. All levels have been
designed with specific requirements and benefits to help partners
leverage and be rewarded for their networking product knowledge and
