Brother introduces entry-level personal laser printers

Japanese electronic company, Brother International has launched HL-1430, an entry-level personal laser printer for the Indian market. According to the
press release, HL -1430 is a 14ppm laser printer for the Windows or MAC user that offers a 600 x 600 dpi print resolution and optional network
capability.

In addition, the printer offers the benefits of comprehensive technical support using user-friendly Windows-based
management, 'Flash' troubleshooting animations.

Brother International (India) country manager RS Anandkumar said, "The laser printer is not only priced competitively, but is also effectively positioned
on the total cost of ownership (TCO) and value for money (VFM) concept, thus providing the
customers with a win-win proposition".

Brother has appointed Lipi Data Systems as the national corporate partner (NCP) and has also adopted a two-pronged
distribution approach wherein Lipi targets the institutional / key account market. For targeting end users
across the country, Brother will go through regional distributors having focus and channel coverage.

Brother has already launched 14 models that cover the personal, small work group, departmental and enterprise segments. The company plans to conduct
focused end user, channel programs through the use of above the line and below the line
promotions.
