CALTRON : The Emerging Leader

Caltron continues to grow at a faster rate, a trend it started two years
back. Moving at a steady and an impressive growth rate, the company has emerged
as one of the major distribution houses in the eastern region.

Maintaining its focus on HP, Compaq, Seagate and Microsoft, has also
contributed majorly to its growth. In order to enhance its distribution
business, the company has always focused on the eastern part of the country and
remained committed to increasing its channel base.

Strengthening its channel base with special focus on the East, the company
took seven of its dealers in Ranchi on a trip to Bangkok in April last year.
Focusing on its own imported brand-Power On, Caltron is now pushing its sales
through direct sales waving off the five percent margin with 10 strong years of
the company's existence in the channel space.

To further strengthen it's position as a leading regional distributor,
Caltron has also tied up with Fuji as a regional distributor for its range of
digital cameras across eastern India. This fiscal, the company signed up with LG
as a sub-distributor for eastern India with HP continuing to contribute the bulk
of the company's revenue at 45 percent. Planning to consolidate its distribution
business and lean more on its regional distributor mode of transaction, the
company is now aiming to increase its own brand presence. Plans are on to
reengineer the company, chalking out a new import division with a target to
empower it with additional stock this FY, strengthening its brand Power On and
setting a target to achieve 40 percent growth in its turnover.
