India introduces the C2000 series
that includes imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020 and C2020H. Building upon the
company's number one position in the A3 MFD category, this new series
round out Canon's portfolio to help meet the growing needs of a vast
array of small and medium enterprises. The C2000 series will assist SMB
organizations to enjoy full functionality, help them scale their
business in the future and support them to collaborate their imaging
needs. The intelligent communications and advanced printing
functionality of these new models, coupled with thier compact design
and uncompromising performance, will help improve digital workflow
and enhance productivity for organizations. The series cements
Canon's commitment in bringing advanced functionalities to its
customers, even in the low volume segment, making the advanced
technology simple for everyone to use in the office scenario.
Announcing the launch of C2000 series of iR ADVANCE Puneet Datta,
Assistant Director (Marketing)-BIS division, Canon India said,
“With the colour market growing exponentially the new series will
give an extra edge to small and medium enterprises at an affordable
cost. The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE range is a true multi-role device
that recognizes the importance of coloured documents in business and
at the same time helps control costs associated with them. The new
series delivers the benefits of digital copy, network print, color
scanning, and optional fax features, along with flexible paper
handling and finishing options that help save time, space, and most

Built on Canon's MEAP
(Multi-functional Embedded Application Platform), Canon's
imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2000 Series offers all-in-one multifunction
capabilities, including simultaneous copying, printing, scanning and
document distribution. MEAP, further, enables powerful applications
for workflow management and full document accounting as enterprise
needs develop.

Advanced Functionality Now

The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2000
Series offers print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) and
consistently delivers high image quality for text and images at
speeds of up to 30 pages-per-minute (ppm). The series can also be
connected directly to a user's workstation using the standard USB
2.0 High Speed port, or leveraged as a shared network resource
through a highly efficient 1000/100BaseTX/10 Base-T Ethernet
interface. A standard 80 GB hard disk is available to provide storage
and spooling facilities for network printing, improving printing
efficiency. There is also an option to add the hard disk to Canon
imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2020.

Through Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2000
series, users can store scans to and print files from the Advanced
boxes<1> of other iR-ADV series. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE series
supports optional Super G3 fax functionality for high-speed fax
transactions. The 2-line fax feature is capable of handling large
volumes of fax documents, while ensuring lesser busy signals and
greater connectivity. With the optional Remote Fax Kit, users can
send fax through other fax-capable imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices in the
network, even if it does not have a fax-board installed. This is a
great tool for businesses to achieve significant cost and time
savings through the innovative leverage and use of infrastructure
without any duplication.

Multi-Format Document Support

Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2000 models
are capable of quickly scanning and sending both black and white and
color documents at 44 images-per-minute (ipm) in TIFF, JPEG and PDF
formats to e-mail addresses or file folders (SMB/FTP) on a network.
