Canon intros new color digital press

Yavatmal: Canon India announced the launch of its new color digital press range catering to the offset, commercial and graphic arts segment. With this introduction, Canon has strengthened its product line up exponentially in the digital press segment. This will help organizations wanting to diversify from offset to digital with minimum infrastructure.

Speaking on this occasion, Kensaku Konishi, President and CEO Canon India said, “We have always been introducing innovative portfolios of wide segment of professional production press, solutions, and various services options for our customers.”

This new range can be custom configured with various finishing options at an engine speed of up to 65/75 pages-per-minute (ppm).With a true resolution of 1200x1200 dots-per-inch (dpi) and 8bit engine offers customers the ability to tailor their press to meet their specific printing needs without compromising on quality or desired speeds. It can handle media upto 300gms, coated media support with the feature of auto duplexing that saves paper and environment.

Alok Bharadwaj , Senior VP, Canon India said, “Canon has been systematically and extensively expanding the product portfolio and specialists team. Business opportunities are emerging in many small towns and vertical segments and Canon is looking at 2010 as the major growth year for production and graphic arts products. We are planning to capture 20 percent marketshare in 2010.”
