Canon opens first retail outlet in Bangalore

Canon India extended its retail network in Bangalore with the inauguration of the its first Retail Station. The outlet, Computer Mega Bazaar, will be an one-stop shop for customers to sample products from Canon's digital imaging portfolio prior to making a purchase decision. 

Canon's retail outlets also showcase its PictBridge technology printers and digicam that allow users to take direct prints from digicams as well as new technology for laser printing.

Says Alok Bharadwaj, Director and GM (Volume Products), Canon India, "The demand to experience, use and purchase digital imaging products under one roof is increasing at a rapid pace in the country. This exclusive retail station is designed for providing customers in the city the required ease, experience and satisfaction of a good purchase."

Canon offers a complete range of digital imaging products and at this one-stop shop-digicams, scanners and printers. It plans to have 30 such retail stations nationwide by the end of 2004. The Canon Retail Station Program was launched in 2002 and the company has established 18 exclusive Retail Stations and 500 non-exclusive Retail Points in A-, B- and C-class cities

across the country.
