Carving A Niche For Herself

Job Profile: Jain is responsible for managing marketing and sales at her
company.

Background: As a child, she was a very bright student and always stood first
till class 10th. She shared that sports was never her cup of tea. After
acquiring her basic education from a convent school in Mathura, she did her 12th
at Vansthali Vidyapeeth in Rajasthan. After completing graduation from the Agra
University, she started preparing for IAS exams, but soon after she got married
to Manish. Though her desire to become an IAS officer was never fulfilled, but
she hopes that either of her two children will realize her unaccomplished dream.

Challenges: According to Jain, the biggest challenge she faces is striking a
balance between work and home. “I have never come across any challenge apart
from striking a balance between work and home,” she said. She admitted that her
husband has always been the pillar of support for her. Every time she faced a
problem, she always confided in her husband who gave her complete support.

Strengths: “Running a business and taking decisions, at times becomes a risky
affair for me but I know how to deal with it. The only way I am able to achieve
it is by being calm and composed,” said Jain. Her far-sightedness had also
helped her take the right decisions.

This apart, Jain is a true leader who believes in motivating her employees.
She firmly believes that if an employee is made to feel that he is a shareholder
of the company, it will ultimately lead to better output.

Family: Jain is a proud mother of an 11-year old daughter and five-year old
son. She is very close to her mother-in-law, with whom she often discusses all
her problems and daily happenings. She gave the credit of her success to her
family members who have always supported her. “My biggest vote of thanks goes to
my husband Manish who motivated me to get into this profession,” she said.

Hobbies: After working for over 10-hours in the office and fielding constant
calls, Jain turn to music for relaxation. During the wee hours, she tunes in to
old melodies sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. However, she admits that
striking a balance between work and home often becomes a herculean task. But
like a true achiever, she manages time for both family and profession.

Future Plans: Riding high on success, she wants Jain Peripherals to be known
for its services and efficient workforce. This apart, she wants to create its
brand image so that people recognize the company by its name. She also wishes to
see her children achieving great heights and creating an identity for
themselves.
