Cisco names new head for datacenter

India has recently announced the
appointment of Rajesh Rege as Senior VP-Datacenter for India and
SAARC. In this role Rajesh will be responsible for driving and
overseeing Cisco's overall growth and expansion efforts in the
datacenter space in this region. Rege is an IT industry veteran with
over 22 years of experience.

Prior to Cisco, Rege worked with
Alcatel Lucent as VP for Global Alliances, managing a portfolio of
India-based partners on a global basis. Rege said, “I am delighted
to be with Cisco at the stage when the datacenter market in India is
in the midst of a transformation. This is an opportune time to be at
the core of our customers' technology infrastructure. I am looking
forward to aggressive growth for the India business, through
innovative methods and world-class service and support to customers.”
Rege holds a Bachelor of Engineering
degree with specialization in Electronics and Communications from
National Institute of Technology, Surathkal. He has lead roles like
country business management, national sales management, industry
business development and channels strategy and management in highly
regarded companies.
