Citrix bundles access security on to next-gen access suite

Access infrastructure vendor-Citrix Systems India is celebrating August as
the 'secure access month' across the country. This coincides with the
release of its next generation access suite -Citrix Access Suite 4.0.

The company is at present, conducting road shows in major metros including
Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, to showcase its new release.

The latest offerings allow for on-demand access to any information source
with the over riding feature of security. The suite includes the Citrix Access
Gateway, an SSL-VPN security solution -the enhancement being the result of
Citrix's acquisition of Net6 around eight months ago. The other products
include the presentation server and password manager.

The company has also introduced a new technology called SmartAccess, which
delivers secured access depending after sending the type of user environment.
The platform also enables granular access control from end-point security to
password management.

Souma Das, Area VP, India sub-continent, Citrix Systems India said, "Our
access solutions are ideal for mid-to large-sized enterprises. The cost of
deploying our solution is less, since the customers would not have to deal with
a multi-vendor scenario." The company plans to tap its existing installed
customer base in India for the new suite and is in the process of creating
awareness among partners about the products.

Kishore Badami, Senior Director-Marketing, Citrix Systems India said that the
company would focus on high-growth segments like telecom, BFSI, manufacturing
and IT services and BPO.
