Compucover East opens office in Thailand

In a bid to expand their operations, New Delhi-based Compucover East has
opened an office in Bangkok, Thailand this month. The operations will be run in
collaboration with Compucover Inc, USA and Chalalai Compucover, Thailand.
Through the Thailand office the company will sell all the products they export
from India which includes Keyskin brand of keyboard protectors, Color Plus
cartridges, toners, refill kits and e-skin brand of screen protectors among
others products. These products are manufactured locally in their Gurgaon
facility. While currently the company is selling its products to OEMs they are
now looking at offering these products in foreign markets and appointing
franchisees there.

Speaking about their new venture, Manoj Khanna, Director, Compucover East
said, "Globally, people are eying the Indian market and setting up their
operations here. I see no reason why we too cannot branch out and tap the
potential in other countries."

The initially investment made into the Bangkok office was 4 million Thai
baht, and currently four employees have been hired. Khanna shared that they
would be looking at increasing their investment and equity in the venture.

Compucover has also applied for a trademark for the Color Plus brand in
Thailand.

In the meanwhile, the company is looking at the franchisee model to expand
their operations. Khanna shared that they have started work on growing their
network and appointing one franchisee in each city of India and Thailand by the
end of 2009.

Compucover East was formed in collaboration with Compucover Inc, USA. The
latter holds 49 percent equity in Compucover East.
