Computer Empire on an expansion spree

Delhi-based Computer Empire is all set to expand its presence in India. The
company will explore newer geographies and open around four to five outlets in
Noida, Gurgaon and Faridabad by next year. Talking about the expansion plans,
Harsh Puri, CEO, Computer Empire said, "We have always been playing on
volume sales and that is the only way to expand in the IT industry at the
moment. The reason why we will be exploring NCR is that we wish to cater to our
customers in these regions as well."

The company however may run these offices under a different name. Clarifying
the reason behind the same, Puri stated that these offices will be run under a
sister concern of Computer Empire and hence a different name would be assigned
to them. He also added, "A lot of our customers who have trusted us, both
for our services and products offered at the lowest prices, have been requesting
us to open an office in NCR region. We will be able to provide them with even
better service, as they will no longer have to travel all the way to
Delhi."

Very recently the company converted another of their offices, which was
handling after-sales service issues, into a shop. This was done essentially to
attend to as many customers as possible.

The company currently has tie ups with Intel, Segate, Samsung, Wipro, LG,
Epson, Sony and Intex to name a few. Last year the distributor was able to
garner revenues of 62 crore and the current year recorded a turnover of Rs 91
crore. Computer Empire is also planning to increase its headcount in the
marketing and sales, tech support area and management. At present the company
has employee strength of 30 employees.
