Court rejects Vivek Prakash's bail plea

A court in New Delhi rejected Samsung India's former vice president Vivek
Prakash's plea for anticipatory bail in a case related to financial
irregularities. Samsung India had in March, filed a complaint alleging financial
irregularities against Prakash with the Economic Offence Wing of the Crime
Branch.

Vivek moved the court for anticipatory bail in May, which was turned down
yesterday. "Yesterday, the court rejected his plea for anticipatory
bail," informed a source, requesting anonymity.

Incidentally, Rajender Singh Sahu, a co-accused in this case was arrested in
May. "RS Sahu was a co-accused in this case and worked with Samsung as an
accountant, the police arrested him in May," the source added.

Vivek could not be reached for comments. After leaving Samsung India, he
joined Kobian Worldwide operations as Director (Sales & Marketing) and is
also the CEO of Kobian India operations.
