Bangalore-based Cyberstar Infocom has been appointed the national distributor
for Molex. Giving details about the same, Raj Rathi, MD, Cyberstar Infocom, said
that very recently his company was appointed the national distributor for Molex
the providers of interconnect solutions. "Molex is the fastest growing
cabling company and has a market share of 80 percent in India. We are very happy
to extend our association in furthering their products in the market," said
Rathi.
In addition he also informed that Cyberstar Infocom will be completing its
eighth anniversary in the month of October and keeping in mind the success
achieved thus far, the company will be stretching geographically and also
entering into tie ups with leading vendors and OEMs to strengthen their business
further. At present the company has 22 offices across the country, which will
gradually be expanded to a total of 30 offices by the next fiscal. In the north
the company has offices in Jaipur, Chandigarh, Noida, Gurgaon and Jammu. The
company is also targeting a growth of 80 percent for the next fiscal and will
undertake channel sales training programs and conduct technology-briefing
sessions as part of their partner training programmes.
Talking about the expansion plans, Rathi stated that all their offices would
offer support services as well. He also added that providing support services is
one clause that depended entirely upon the vendors and if the vendors ask them
to provide services, they would do it. Hitachi has asked them to provide after
sales service although it has since begun to do it on its own. At the moment
Cyberstar is providing after sales services on behalf of Netgear.
Rathi also said that as part of its tie-up with Lexmark, the company is
promoting their E120n Monochrome Network Laser Printer across the country.
"Lexmark is a five billion dollar company and has global tie ups and global
customer, which gives them enough scope to further the product in the market.
" He agreed that HP and Canon are widely accepted and preferred products in
India and the challenge is huge but given that Lexmark has a global presence he
was sure proper marketing strategy would do good for the product in India as
well.
