networking products and solutions said that over the past five years,
the business dynamics have changed and enterprise sector has become
dependent on information. Speaking at the SP Summit 2011, Rajesh
Sahore, Sales Head, India and SAARC, D-Link said that despite of
budget constraints, customers want efficient networking. “Network
should be scalable so as it can take up new challenges. End-to-end
security and self vigilance has become very important, today,” said
Sahore.
Sahore said that, the
company is looking at requirements to build customized solutions, and
it has partnerships with Ingram Micro and Redington. D- Link offers
elite, silver and gold partner programs, and offers online
registration for SI partners. To a query raised by Ranjan Chopra of
Team Computers, Sahore said that SPs can make a profit, ranging
between 15 to 20 percent through an association with D- Link. The
company said that, it will be launching passive networking by the mid
of March, 2011.

Asia, SEA & Japan, Eaton Corporation said that, SPs are very
important to them. The company's power quality solutions operation
holds 1,000 active patents. Eaton has a range of economy,
intermediate and premium products. The company is now aggressively
looking at partners for business expansion, and has been previously
doing direct business. “We are looking at partners to grow in
India, and have recently concluded a partners' meet in Chennai,”
said Nanda. Eaton is also banking heavily on channel and system
integrators for its 80 KVA power backup equipment.
