Dax Networks launches DX-4044

Bangalore: Dax Networks has launched DX-4044, an advanced 4 Mbps LAN extender
paired with integrated 4 port 10/100 switch and routing features. Priced at Rs
50,000/-, DX-4044 is targeted at small, medium and large enterprises.

DX-4044 has the functions of Single-Paired High Speed Digital Subscriber Loop
(SHDSL) 4-wire router, which provides business class communication access
solution. The speed supports range from Nx64Kbps (ie) 64kbps to 2.304Mbps
symmetric payload rates over existing copper 2 wire and Nx128Kbps (ie) 128Kbps
to 4.608Mbps for 4-wire mode operation.

DX-4044 comes with advanced functions of Multi-DMZ, virtual server mapping
and VPN pass-through for safeguarded connections. DX-4044, which is Virtual LAN
enabled, offers significant benefits in terms of efficient use of bandwidth,
flexibility and performance.

DX-4044 follows Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) with SNMPv1/SNMPv2 agent and MIB II which
enables network administrators to manage network performance, monitor and
troubleshoot network problems, and plan for network growth. DX-4044 also
supports four ports 10Base-T /100Base-T auto-negotiation and auto-MDIX switching
ports which allows easy configuration and management with password control for
various application environments.

Dx-4044 comes with a 3-year carry-in warranty and online support to its
customers. Dax plans to market this product through its strong channel spread
across the country.
