Dedicated Micros looking for channel in India

Dedicated Micros, a UK-based company that manufactures and develops CCTV
cameras, is now going to enter into Indian market directly and is looking for
the right set of distributors and channel partners in the country.

The company has planned to drive its product in three levels, through
distributors, system integrators and security products installers and is in
dialogue with resellers and distributors and would announce the names once it is
finalized. Till now, the company did small business in India through its offices
in Singapore and Dubai.

Salim Idris, GM, Dedicated Micros, Asia informed that given the rising threat
of terrorism activities in the subcontinent the company decided to venture into
the business with the objective of redefining the quality standards of CCTV
cameras available here.

The company informed that its main objective is to bring difference in value
of CCTV cameras by means of education, training programs and seminars centered
around public security issues. The company will be primarily aiming at sectors
like transportation, banking, retail, manufacturing and infrastructure.

"We have decided to enter into India not only to increase the market
share but to bring change in value of security products. In India the standard
of CCTV cameras installed for surveillance are below standard. We want to train
the customers, distributors and channel partners about the necessity of
improving the standards. We are here to design security cameras that will
provide evidential close-ups, without any failure," explained Idris.

Responding to the query of its late entry of into the Indian market Idris
said, "It is true that we are quite late in making our presence in the
Indian but there have been logical reasons for that including bureaucratic
hiccups here. Terrorism related activities are big concern for India and we want
to make difference in the quality of security products."

It took eight months for the company to study the Indian market and its
requirement before venturing into it. In the coming months Dedicated Micros will
set up its subsidiary office, service center, marketing center and technological
support department. The company is eying Mumbai for the office location.
