Buffalo announced its NAS TeraStation III series. It features active
directory support, DFS support, disk quota support, share-level replication and
port trunking. Hardware features like hot swap and dual Ethernet ports are the
new features.

Scheduled shutdown eliminates unnecessary access and reduces energy costs. It
has advantages like distributed file system support, easy set-up wizard,
management through intuitive web interface, hot swap hard drive trays behind the
front panel for easy drive access, five operating RAID modes-RAID 0, 1, 5, 10,
JBOD.

Advanced RAID system continually checks hard drive and RAID performance,
10/100/1000GB Ethernet with Jumbo Frame, Ethernet ports for port trunking, share
level replication feature, hot spare enables automatic RAID build in case of a
hard drive failure, automatic AES-128 data encryption, large silent fan cools
hard drive efficiently, etc.

Backed by three years warranty and toll-free technical support, the
TeraStation III is available at an estimated street price of Rs 90,000.
