Diamond Infotech opens branch in Mumbai

Kolkata based Diamond Infotech has recently opened a branch in Mumbai.
Previously the company had a small set-up in Mumbai for small support-based
assignments. With an objective to expand beyond the east, Diamond has plans to
increase its focus on the western market. The company has also recruited more
manpower and by October will be ready to begin Mumbai operations. "This
will enable us to boost our growth rate further and also capture new markets.
Overall Diamond plans to achieve a growth of around 40 percent this financial
year. We are targeting an additional turnover of Rs 4 crore from our Mumbai
branch which will help us to achieve that goal," said Manoj Rathi -
Director, Diamond Infotech.

Meanwhile the company has streamlined its product line and has developed
customized solutions and implementation techniques to cater to the demands of
its clients. Previously the main focus business of Diamond was the stockbroker
segment. But since last year it has been working to develop a client base other
than the stock brokers in order to enhance its operational area. "Over a
year we have successfully added up a healthy client base from sectors like,
metallurgy, manufacturing, corporate and SME. Toady 30 percent of our clients
are non stock brokers," informed Rathi. Additionally Diamond has plans to
expand its operation in Guwahati. "Our present focus will be to stabilize
the Mumbai branch and simultaneously start operating in Pune. After that our
next focus is going to be the North-East market," he added.
