Intel kicked off its Diwali carnival on the 2nd of November with a special
offer on its Quad Core and Dual Core processors for its customers and channel
partners, in Nehru Place.

The highlight of this carnival were the huge gate at the entrance of the
market complemented by 15 gate arches across the market place, in-store branding
in retail showrooms and 20 human banners throughout the market. Also, the whole
Nehru place complex was light up with fluorescent lamps and bulbs.

Sandeep Aurora, Director - Channel Sales (South Asia), Intel India said,
"We have done brand promotion exercises in the past but this time we really
wanted to do things differently and especially make the Nehru Place wear the
festive attire so that it not only inspires the channel partners to sell more
but also attract more customers."

Under the scheme announced, customers who bought Intel Core2 Quad Q6600
processor based PCs for a special festive price of Rs 29,990/- and got a silver
Laxmi idol for free. Customers buying Intel Core2 Duo E6550 processor based PCs
at a special festive price of Rs 22,500/- were eligible to win a silver coin
free. Customers buying these PCs could redeem their gifts through a coupon they
receive at the time of purchase.

Elaborating on the scheme Arora said, "Every year around Diwali, we try
to announce schemes. This special scheme will encourage our channel partners to
sell our Quad Core and Dual Core products across the country. By making PCs
based on these processors available at these attractive prices we targeted
Diwali PC buyers looking at owning a multimedia powerhouse, offering them up to
53 percent more performance."

Aurora further informed that after these festive schemes get over, Intel
would get busy with its ICC (Intel Channel Conference) in December. This
half-yearly event includes meetings dealers and partners across 15 plus cities,
training and launching new products.
