An only child, Shruthi grew up in a middle class household where her father had a central government job while her mother was a homemaker. She was encouraged to focus on various disciplines and not just academics. She now stays with her husband and little boy who is three and half years old.

An avid reader and she totally enjoys her time with TV after a hard week juggling between work and home.
