Confirming that this will be a multi-brand outlet like its debut showroom, Gaurav Goel, MD, Eastern Logica said, “The new outlet will be ready in 10 days time and we chose to take up space in E-Mall primarily because of the crowd it attracts. We will be focusing primarily on laptops in the outlet. However, cameras, MP3 and MP4 players, iPods and mobile phones will also be there.”

Elucidating about his plans to venture into the mobile segment in the long-run, Goel further said, “We have been keeping Samsung and Sony Ericsson mobile phones in the showroom and plan to take the business further to the new outlet. However, at this point of time we have no plans to focus on these products but we might consider it in the long run.”

The move came shortly after Eastern Logica bagged an award from Sony. In the debut launch of Sony VAIO laptops equipped with Windows 7 OS in Bangkok, the Kolkata-based channel partner was awarded for being the VAIO Elite Partner for B-class cities for volume business.
